How to write your kvittel
A kvittel (letter) may be written in any language. When mentioning a name, it is customary to include:
- The person's full name
- The mother's name (for example: Yaakov ben Sarah)
- It is preferable to use a Hebrew name if available
- Non-Jewish individuals typically use the father's name
The letter can include personal requests for blessing, healing, livelihood, family matters, guidance, or any heartfelt concern.
